To analyse tenders and contractual agreements
To translate the customer specifications into one overall solution by determining:
o The technical and functional specifications attributable to one area of competence within a certain field of expertise
To help determine the order specifications of parts and components purchased from third parties (suppliers), and validate them through benchtesting when required in the project or product development
To help in definition of migration concepts and plans to migrate existing installations/configurations to new solutions matching agreed project specifications and requirements, in line with existing products and solutions.
To make up a relevant test procedure, both for products and projects
To watch over the predefined specifications of the delivered solutions
If necessary, alter the solutions offered or adapt the basic concepts so that the end product meets the predefined technical, functional and quality specifications
In case of problems in meeting agreed planning conditions or technical and functional specifications, come up with alternative suggestions supporting the project and/or product manager
To follow up on and test delivered (product and project) solutions. Depending on the results, make the required solution changes
Functional review for new products and during the course of project delivery activities.
To validate the solutions and designs provided in the framework of predefined customer specifications and pass them on to the technical writer
To analyse and formulate recommendations of customer change requests
Determine whether this is possible within the budget of an on-going project/roadmap or whether the request is part of an adjustment to the on-going contract or whether it should be part of a new agreement
If necessary, consult with the relevant account manager
Upon request, defend concepts towards the customer
To take care of configuration (depending on the area of expertise), testing, training, support, documentation and internal knowledge transfer
To handle 2nd/3rd line support tickets assigned, based on area of expertise.
AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To work in line with the company standards and the customer treatment policy within the framework of contractual agreements
To validate suppliers and delivered components and parts based on a personal design that integrates the provided customer specifications
To consult with product and project management on the predefined design before transfer towards the allocated development team
To consult and communicate with the account manager involved regarding clarification of the customer demands
To communicate with the customer to obtain additional information clarifying the customer demands, to defend a concept offered and regarding problems with meeting required specifications and deadlines
As an employee you have the responsibility and authority to take decisions related to your job description. In case of doubt consult your superior or a colleague with an equivalent function
Master degree in informatics / electricity, ICT or equivalent
Minimum 5 years experience in business analysis / requirements analysis in ICT projects (preferably covering both SW + HW)
Preferably preliminary experience in SW development (java,...)
Preferably expertise in Energy utilities domain
General understanding of business process.
Knowledge of web services and distributed software systems
Language requirements: Dutch, French and English
Knowledge of business process modelling language and tools (UML, Enterprise Architect...)
Optional: preferably an understanding of the BE electricity market processes.
Required skills: Analytical skills, presentation skills, negotiation skills, good communicator, process documentation, - Customer focus, Quality focus
Good structured written and oral communication skills in Dutch/French/English
Willing to travel
Stress resistant and flexible
Prepared to hands-on work with the product
Full-time indeterminate contract.
